Sorry for the bad drawing, but by the time it occurred to me to make a tutorial, I had already dismantled my rig and put the ladder back in the garage. But this will give you a basic idea.

i don't have a ladder but if i was, i'd be up on it trying to press the shutter button - cause my canon S3IS dosen't have a remote shutter...

maybe i WILL have to get one of those wire cable solutions?
